Content Management System (CMS)
The DW Library Content Management System (CMS) will enable the ability to add, edit, delete, and schedule content for the website, specifically:
- Provide ability to add, edit and delete web pages and sections for entire corporate staff
- Selection of page layout or type from pre-built templates for standard site sections (i.e. production detail page, class overview page, press release page, blog, etc.)
- Support custom page and section names (i.e. http://www.indianapolissyphony.org/productions/leeAnnWomack)
- Specify whether or not a page or section should appear in the site-wide navigation
- Specify whether or not a page or section should appear in the site-wide search
- Collect Meta data for newly created pages and sections including:
- Page title and description
- Tags to enhance search capabilities
- Creation of the following specialized page types:
- Media Galleries
- Create, edit and delete album sections
- Upload (or remove) images in JPG, GIF or PNG formats
- Automatically render images and thumbnails in optimal sizes
- Upload (or remove) images in JPG, GIF or PNG formats
- Upload (or remove) audio clips in WMA, WAV or MP3 formats
- Custom forms (can be used for contract forms, rental information request, etc.)
- Create, edit and delete form fields and field names, including:
- Text Boxes
- Radio Buttons
- Drop-down lists
- Free-form text fields
- Ability to specify required fields and maximum field lengths
- Define how completed form data will be handled, including e-mailing contents to specified e-mail recipients(s) at TCO
- Capture collected data into website database
- Create, edit and delete form fields and field names, including:
- Media Galleries
- Provide ability to add, edit and delete content in predetermined locations within page templates
- Markup text styling (bold, italic, underline, font size and color from a pre-set color palette)
- Insert special characters (such as accent and foreign symbols)
- Insert bulleted and ordered lists
- Control justification (left, center, right, full justify)
- Tables (add, insert, delete rows and columns)
- Create hyperlinks to internal or external URLs
- Upload, place and size images in JPG, GIF or PNG formats
- Upload and place links to PDF, DOC, XLS and other document files
- Upload and place links to audio and video media files in Flash format
- Search existing content archive for text and media assets
- Add content Meta data (i.e. category, tags, content language, author, etc.)
- Provide ability to search for pages or content by last modified date in order to either remove or update content and ensure content "freshness"
- Provide user control and security capabilities
- Ability to schedule content, sections and pages for deployment and removal at predetermined point in time by specifying a live date and expiration date (if no dates specified, content will immediately appear on website after staging approval, and to remain live indefinitely)
- Once content is expired, automatically store in content archive for future reuse and reference
- Ensure that the CMS can be accessed both inside and outside the network to authenticated users
- Ability to specify that certain website sections, pages or content are only available to specific Tessitura constituencies
- Ability to specify that certain website sections, pages or content are only available when a specific purchase has been made (i.e. downloadable music or video files, course materials, etc.)
- Provide a site-wide search capability (including content, performances, classes, etc.)
- Designed specifically for Tessitura enabled performing arts customers
- Allows for administration of advertising program
